Service-Learning to improve
training and employability in wildfire management
in Southern Europe

RECENT ACTIVITIES

ADDRESSING WILDFIRES

Wildfires are a complex issue that affects our natural, social and economic systems. Recent decades have seen an increase on early detection, wildfire prevention or restoration, but the implementation of these methods is still limited. That is why it’s essential to find new avenues to transfer this knowledge to society.

INVOLVING STUDENTS AND COMMUNITIES

Service-Learning is a pedagogical method where students learn as they identify and tackle on pressing issues affecting their immediate context, developing practical tasks in partnership with community actors.
